Brownsburg Attractions: Racing, Golf, and Family Fun
Brownsburg, Indiana is a quickly growing satellite city of Indiana state capital Indianapolis, located just a few miles west of the Circle City. A part of Hendricks County, Brownsburg is a generally sleepy area that nevertheless plays host to a number of fun Brownsburg attractions. This small city has something for everyone, be it Indianapolis sports enthusiasts who want to take a swing at one of Brownsburg’s professional golf courses or members of the Brownsburg arts community who want to show off their skill at the Festival of the Arts.
Perhaps the biggest attraction in the Brownsburg area is the O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. This haven for grease monkeys, speed freaks, and gearheads, located between Clermont and Brownsburg on Highway 136, is a standard place for Indianapolis racing fans to get their speed fix between the Indianapolis 500 and other races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. O’Reilly Raceway Park hosts many vaunted Indianapolis events at its oval track, including the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, SpeedFest (which features two NASCAR events and the USAC Silver Crown Series race), and a “Night Before the 500″ race.

The drag strip also has several recurring races, including Tuesday Night Street Legals, motorcyles, and other drag races.
For Brownsburg residents who’d rather stroll along a well-manicured fairway then sit out near the hot asphalt of a raceway, there’s the West Chase Golf Club, Brownsburg’s premiere golfing facility. Founded in 1996, West Chase is a professional, 18-hole course that has a clubhouse, snack bar, practice green, driving, range, and four different tee levels to accommodate beginners and experts alike. Scenic, semi-private, and relaxing, this Brownsburg attraction is the perfect place to let all the tensions of your week be knocked into the stratosphere along with your perfectly hooked first drive.
