Brownsburg history reads pretty much like the history of the other Indianapolis suburbs close by, such as Clermont, Avon, Plainfield, Zionsville and Mooresville. Most of them began in the early 1800’s and, partially due to the support they give one another and the strength of the state capital, they have built a way of life that works. Brownsburg, Indiana is yet another small town in Central Indiana that maintains a small town atmosphere while living in the shadow of Indianapolis.
